The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is one of the big five banks in Canada. CIBC was formed in 1961 when the Canadian Bank of Commerce and the Imperial Bank of Canada merged together. To this day this is the largest merger of banks in Canadian history. Its headquarters is in Toronto and is one of the two banks along with the Toronto Dominion Bank to be founded in Toronto.
